Why me? What have I done to deserve this? Don’t they know I need this job! Does any of this sound familiar? In the MLM, Networking, Home based business world we all want some level of security. Isn’t that the underlying truth why we began all of our activities.
Have you ever made your “Want list” or “Dream Board”. Doesn’t all of these wants and Dreams represent varying levels of security that you are seeking for? I know it is for me. Think about it. A big house, expensive cars, exotic vacations and thrilling activities represent security.
Security, unfortunately, is not guaranteed neither is it a destination.
Cervantes, an early 17th century novelist and poet wrote:
“The road is always better than the inn.”
What is meant by this? Such a profound phrase, for those who embark on their own business in the Multi-Level Marketing industry, with an eye on success, sees it to represent the road that will inevitably lead to growth and success. Without the “road” the “Inn” will never be achieved.
So what has that got to do with security? It has everything to do with it. The “road” represents the challenges that must to encountered in order for the growth that leads to the Inn. The “Inn” represents our general understanding of security.
If you could only over come the challenges then you could be secure. You could afford the house, cars, college tuition, trips and the …. The list goes on.
I challenge that common misunderstanding. The Inn is not the security. It is the DESIRE for security that IS the SECURITY.
DESIRE IS SECURITY!

Security is not the End of the journey, but the Engine that drives the journey.
The end of the journey is your dream, the big goal and is understandably seen as security. However, the underlying drive for your dream is a sense of security when the end is reached. You need to understand that it is the road toward the Inn that builds confidence. Heck, it’s the decision to embark on the road that begins the sense of security. Can you begin to see that security is action.
In our world today your material dreams and wants are the result of MONEY. You must have an income to make the dreams a reality. The driving force that causes the end result is the your need for security!
Look at it this way:
Your Dream = Security = Money
- Your Dream is your Future
- Your Security is knowledge and work
- Your Money is the effect/result
Security is the engine that drives all of your dreams. Security is your sense of confidence that your needs and wants will be met. Your dreams give you a direction to go. Your increased knowledge and work offers you security. The increased sense of security draws others to you and the money follows.
